A Distinctly British Black Bay: The Tudor Black Bay Harrods Special Edition (Ref. M79230G-0001)

Take one of Tudor’s most recognizable modern dive watches and give it a distinctly British identity. Created exclusively for London’s Harrods department store, the Black Bay Harrods Special Edition immediately separates itself from the standard Black Bay lineup with its signature green anodized-aluminum bezel. The black dial retains the vintage-inspired gilt detailing and Tudor’s unmistakable Snowflake hands, while a green-tipped seconds hand and green depth-rating text carry the Harrods color through the design. Turn the watch over and the distinction continues, with a solid caseback engraved with the Harrods “H,” “Special Edition,” and an individual edition number unique to the watch.

Beneath the heritage-inspired exterior is Tudor’s Manufacture Calibre MT5602, a COSC-certified automatic movement delivering approximately 70 hours of power reserve. Built as a true modern dive watch, it combines that mechanical performance with 200 meters of water resistance, a unidirectional rotating bezel, and Tudor’s riveted stainless steel bracelet. Unlike a conventionally numbered limited edition with a predetermined production total, the Harrods Black Bay is a numbered special edition, giving each example its own individually engraved identity while retaining the exclusivity of the Harrods configuration.
